One way for students to save money on the cost of higher education is to earn college credits while they are still in high school.
 
High school students can take advantage of several programs that let them earn college credits. These programs include:
 
Dual credit courses. These courses let students earn both college and high school credit. They are offered in both academic and technical areas. In some cases, students will pay less than the college tuition rate.
 

WHS Students Attend Legion Boys, Girls State

Hudson Karr and Logan Schockmann attended The American Legion Boys State of Missouri program and Angie Duzan attended  The American Legion Girls State of Missouri program recently, held jointly on the Lindenwood University campus in St. Charles, MO.

The Emerald Stars had an AMAZING week at camp in late June! 
 
The Stars had their own coach from Universal Dance Association come and teach them some awesome dances and sidelines that they can’t wait to show off during the upcoming season!
 
During camp,  they also earned the Superior Award as a team and many individual ribbons and awards.

Cole Camp FCCLA Members To Attend National STAR Events Competition

Two members of the Missouri association of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) will join more than 7,500 members in attendance of the National FCCLA Leadership Conference and Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events competition June 29-July 3, in San Diego, California. Kaelyn Teague and Mikayla Doogs will compete in Interpersonal Communications STAR Events after being awarded Gold level at both Regional and State competitions.
 

SFCC Offices To Close At Noon On Fridays In June And July

The State Fair Community College Board of Trustees approved the closing of college offices at noon on Fridays in June and July for 2022 through 2024, allowing for coordination with the 2022-2024 academic calendar. This summer modification applies to college offices located on all SFCC campuses.
