Pam Grobe, long-time real estate agent, became the new owner of Advantage Real Estate on January 2019. Grobe has worked eight years at the real estate business, has a total of 15 years as a licensed agent and seven years as a broker. Mary Shinn, also a long-time real estate agent at the Advantage Real Estate, will continue in her present position working with Grobe. Over the last several years, Grobe and Shinn have reached the pinnacle level in their business.
Grobe is a Warsaw Native, and worked at several jobs, including that of a typist at the Benton County Enterprise, before becoming a real estate agent. She loves what she does and says that she has no plans to change any of the business practices at Advantage Real Estate now that she is the owner.  He meets some fantastic people, even though the situations may be weird.
“I meet some fantastic people, even though weird situations sometimes develop during the conduct of business,” said Grobe. “Many of our clients are elderly and when they come to town looking for a place to live, they usually don’t know anyone except those of us helping them buy their home. I am often asked to recommend doctors, dentists, and hairdressers for them and have even had a client eat Thanksgiving dinner at my house. I have helped unload U-Hauls, taken clients to the doctor or hospital and even sat through surgery with a client because I was a friend. Once, while accompanying someone to the hospital, I was asked if I was the patient’s granddaughter, and I said ‘No, the realtor!’ One couple came to me for realtor services, and the husband died. I helped the widow any way that I could, and we still keep in touch.”
Grobe is married to Brian Grobe and they have two daughters, Madison and Kiersten. Madison is a sophomore at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and Kiersten attends Warsaw High School.
Advantage Real Estate lists residential, land, commercial, resort and lake front properties. The agency also contributes to the community by supporting athletic programs at Warsaw High School. It is located in North Town Mall, at 1876 Commercial Street. Contact phone is 660-438-0070.
