Aleta Louise Walker

Aleta L. Walker, age 90, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at her home.  She was born on June 20, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Claud Danner and Lena (Hartman) Danner. 
She grew up in the Independence area and graduated from William Chrisman High School.  On September 16, 1950 she was united in marriage to Max W. Walker in Independence, Missouri.  Following their marriage, they made their home in Independence and unto this union two daughters were born.  Aleta was employed at Hallmark Cards and worked on the family farm with her parents.
In October of 1964 they moved to Warsaw where she and Max owned and operated the White Branch Café and in 1967 they purchased the Warsaw Hotel and Café which they operated until 1988.
Aleta is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Keolna Angelides, her husband Max W. Walker on April 6, 1996 and a daughter Claudine Nevius on May 11, 2021.
She is survived by one daughter Maxine Dixon-Bowden and her husband Ken, of Warsaw, six grandchildren; Michelle, Luke, Crystal, Wesley, Willie and Tara, numerous great grandchildren, a sister Coeanna Obermeyer, of Independence, Missouri other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.  Visitation was held two hours prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 12:00.  Interment followed the funeral at the Shawnee Cemetery.
