Crappie Masters offers the nation’s premier crappie fishing tournament trail. It provides competitive crappie fishing tournaments for everyone so they can enjoy and compete for great prizes. Angler’s Port Marine, at 13979 MO – 7, just entered into a partnership with Crappie Masters to become a sponsor at its tournaments. This local Phoenix, Blazer, Caymas and Lowe boat dealer will provide bonus cash to tournament winners who compete in a boat purchased from Angler’s Port Marine.
“It is a big deal,” said Don Schlesselman, Director of Marketing at Angler’s Port Marine. “There are 15 state tournaments hosted by Crappie Masters, six National Qualifying Tournaments with cash prizes of $10,000 for each winner; and the National Championship to be held September 23 – 26, at Monroe/West Monroe, Louisiana, with a cash prize of $35,000. We will provide $1,000 in bonus cash to each winner of the six National Qualifying Tournaments, and $10,000 in bonus cash for the winner of the National Championship Tournament if they meet the criteria.”
The partnership with Crappie Masters is beneficial for Angler’s Port Marine as well as the tournament winners. It motivates anglers to buy boats from its dealership, and provides extra cash to top tournament winners. Crappie Masters also promotes its sponsors as well as anglers, lakes and tourist destinations where tournaments are held.
Winners of the Lake D’Arbonne, Qualifying Tournament, Matthew and Bruce Rogers, owned a boat purchased from Angler’s Port Marine, and ended up with $11,800 in cash. $10,000 was from the tournament, $1,000 from Angler’s Port Marine, $500 from Missouri Corn, $200 from HH Rods And Reels, and $100 from Jenko Fishing.
The Crappie Masters National Championship was held at Truman Lake in Clinton in 2018. The winners were two 21-year old Missouri natives, Matthew Rogers and Baylor Mead. They won the Championship with 21.19 pounds.
There are many ways to qualify for competition in the National Championship. They include placing in the top 20 at a National Qualifier, fishing three National Qualifiers, winning the Male/Female Division at any National Qualifier, winning the Adult/Youth Division at any National Qualifier, accumulating 350 points in the National Points Race, or earning a bump down spot from the National Points Race. They may also qualify through Crappie Masters Clubs through accumulated points.
Angler’s Port Marine is not only a big time part of Crappie Masters tournaments, but is heavily involved in local community events. It has taken part in “Help A Child” Charity Bass Tournament, the Salute To Service Veterans Bowfishing Tournament, Jr. Angler’s Camp, Fishing for Freedom, Women On the Water Workshop, and participates with fundraising and in parades during Jubilee Days and Christmas events.
