Billy F. 
Billy Simpkins, age 86, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri.  He was born on June 1, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Benjamin and Willie Simpkins.
After serving as an aviator in the United States Navy, he returned home and was united in marriage to Mary Helen “Bee” McClanahan on February 16, 1958 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He attended the University of Arkansas, becoming an electrical engineer after which he began working for the US Army Corps of Engineers.  This work took him from Arkansas to Texas to Alabama and finally to Missouri where they remained.
Billy was a former deacon and member of the First Baptist Church in Warsaw and a member of the Gideon’s.  He also was an Amateur Radio Operator.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bee Simpkins on August 11, 2005 and his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Laurie Rebecca Simpkins, of Kansas City, Missouri and Mary Margaret Horning, her husband William Joseph, three granddaughters, Rebecca Grace, Emily Anne and Micheale Rose Horning, all of Raytown.  Billy was a loving devoted husband, father and grandfather, a Christian man, who lived out his faith.
Funeral Services for Billy Simpkins were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.  Graveside services and military rites followed the funeral at the Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw.  Visitation will was held one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Benton County Cancer, Gideon’s, the American Cancer Society or the Renovation Fund of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw c/o the Reser Funeral Home 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri.
