Stephen Phillips
Cole Camp Police Chief
From March 19, 2018 to March 25, 2018 Cole Camp Police Officers have done the following activities:
-Assisted Cole Camp Ambulance with a medical call in the 400 block of West Osage Street.
-Assisted Cole Camp Ambulance with a medical call in the 100 block of North Maple Street.
-Received a call of an alarm in the 100 block of West Main Street.  Employee had set off alarm when entering business.
-Met with a school student and their parent as a result of statement written on paper.
-Sent notices of violation to businesses that don’t have a business license and property owners with property in violation of the nuisance ordinances.
I have received several reports of various phone scams going on in the area.  Please be aware of this activity.  If you did not sign up for, call to receive, or agree to do business with, then it probably is not true.  The IRS will not call you.  You should not have to send money to receive your winnings you did not sign up for or enter into.
Officers with the Cole Camp Police Department will be participating in the statewide Youth Seat Belt Enforcement Campaign, March 15-31, 2018.  The safety belt usage rate among Missouri’s teen motorists for 2016 was only 70%.  In known cases where fatally injured teen occupants were ejected, 97% were unbuckled.  In 2016, male teen drivers’ safety belt use was 10% lower than female teenage drivers as 66% and 76% respectfully.
