Cole Camp Police Report

Cole Camp Police Chief
From October 22, 2018 to October 28, 2018 Cole Camp Police Officers have done the following activities:
-Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of West Butterfield Trail.
-Responded mutual aid to assist Missouri State Highway Patrol with a motor vehicle crash involving a cow on Highway 52 east of Highway 65.
-Received a complaint of harassment in the 600 block of West Main Street.
-Officers received information of drug activity in the 400 block of West Junge Street.  Officers contacted the residents and received consent to search the residence.  A search of the residence resulted in items associated with marijuana use being seized and placed into evidence.  Charges are pending.
-Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 400 block of South Oak Street.  Upon officer’s investigation, the officer attempted to arrest the driver for multiple violations when the driver fled the scene on foot.  Later in the day, the driver turned himself in to the Cole Camp Police Department.  The subject was arrested and transported to the Benton County Jail without incident.  Multiple charges were filed on the subject.
-Officers conducted a well-being check on a subject in the 400 block of West Osage Street.
-Officers responded to the 400 block of West Grove Street.  Upon further investigation, officers determined two subjects present had active warrants for their arrest.  One subject was wanted out of Morgan County, the other subject was wanted out of Henry County.  Benton County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist with transporting the subjects.  Both subjects were transported to the Benton County Jail. 
-Citations were issued for exceeding the posted speed limit, possession of marijuana, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, careless and reckless driving, resisting arrest, property damage.
