Cole Camp Wins Opener Over Lady Cats

The Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds defeated the Warsaw Lady Wildcats 59-50 on Monday night at Warsaw.
Behind the scoring of Aubrie McRoberts, the Lady Cats lead 11-8 after one. However, the Lady Bluebirds behind Camri Schear’s nine second quarter points took a 28-21 lead halftime. She was 7-10 from the free throw line in the quarter and 11-17 for the game as Warsaw had no answer for the 5’10 senior. She had 26 on the night and McRoberts  had 20.
While Warsaw would struggle with the press all night long, several girls made their presence known for the Lady Cats. Freshman Taylor Howe had four points and showed some ball handling skills and the willingness to drive to the basket.Sophomore Kylee Fajen made several good passes on the night. Freshman Migar Segar had four points and looked impressive. Jordan Plybon had 11 points and Jessie Glenn had ten. It was 42-28  after three.
For Cole Camp, Lainey Williams had 16, Jenna Harms 8, Ashley Schear 7 and Taylor Gudde 2.
The Cole Camp JV won the earlier contest 36-17.
