Applications are available to lease one of several remaining, newly constructed, Harbor West Villas at 17509 N. Dam Access Rd. in Warsaw.  The Villas include a total of 12 one-bedroom/one bath and 24 two-bedroom/one bath units.
To be eligible, an applicant must be at least 55 years of age. Any additional occupants must be at least 19 years of age. Income limits also apply. One or two persons may occupy a one-bedroom villa; the two-bedroom villas have a 4-person maximum.
Adults meeting the eligibility requirements can request an application by calling Debbie Snyder, Community Manager, at (660) 223-2568. A $10 fee is payable at the time an application is submitted.
One-bedroom villas rent for $395. Two bedrooms rent for $435. A security deposit equal to one months rent is required for all units.
Applicants may request a “hold” on an apartment and pay a $100 deposit along with the application fee for a one bedroom; or $200 holding fee for a two-bedroom villa. When an application is approved, the amount of the holding fee will be applied against the amount due for the security deposit.
In the event an application is not approved, the holding deposit will be refunded.
All units have open floorplans and are unfurnished except for fully equipped kitchens with a garbage disposal, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, ceiling fans and washer/dryer.
Bath and shower facilities are “senior friendly.” Optional handicap accessible units are available.
Extras include a storm shelter and private patios with storage. Co-located with the administrative office, the community room has computer work stations and meeting areas.
Trash collection services are provided. Small pets are allowed with a one-time pet fee of $200.00.
Snyder said potential tenants should be aware that the time required to review and process applications for approval to move in varies among applicants. Because the processing time can take from a few to several weeks, she would appreciate applicants’ understanding and patience.
