Lincoln Wins Sixth Grade Kaysinger Tournament

Johnie J. Logue
The Lincoln six grade boys defeated Tipton 41-32 to capture the  Kaysinger tournament on Friday night in Lincoln.
Tipton led 3-0 on an early three pointer for their only lead of the game.
It was 10-7 after one, 25-18 at the half and 36 -23 after three.
Behind the ball handling of Turnner Kriesler, the rebounding of Ben Eckhoff and the sharp shooting of Riley Sanders and Dawson Parrott and the break away speed of Anthony Srader, the Cardinals were able to maintain a comfortable lead until the final ticks of the clock in the fourth as Tipton made a late charge with five unanswered points. However, Lincoln broke the press and held on for the victory. Unofficially, since no stats were kept, Riley Sanders had 11 points and Dawson Parrott 10 to lead Lincoln.
On Thursday night, Lincoln beat Windsor 37 -18 to advance to the finals. The Cardinals led 14-7 after one, 22-9 at the half and 29-10 after three. Both Riley Sanders and Turnner Kiesler had nine points unoffically to lead Lincoln.
