Lorraine Aldys Brown

Lorraine Aldys Brown passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018.  Lorraine was born October 1, 1928 in Winner, South Dakota to Leo and Bertha Sinkler.  The family moved to San Diego, California where she and her brother Fred attended Kearny High School.  She played the trumpet in her high school band and thereafter enjoyed a lifelong love of music.
On August 25, 1945, Lorraine married Glen Brown and together they raised 6 children; Karen (Tom) Riggs, Jean (Cliff) Jameson, Diane (Bill) Rose, Kathy (Jimmy) Dial, Marlene (Jerry) Mossinghoff and Allen (Jeri) Brown, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She is survived by her very special sister-in-law Mary Shiek and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by daughter Jean and two son-in-laws; Jerry and Cliff.
Lorraine and Glen retired on Buck Mt. in Hermitage, Missouri where they enjoyed 25 wonderful years of fishing and hunting with friends and family.  She lost the love of her life after 64 years of marriage in 2009.  Soon after, she moved to the Lincoln Community Care Center (Lincoln, Missouri) where she was so very happy.  She will be missed by all her wonderful friends at the Lincoln Community Care Center.
Dairy Queen stock dropped with the loss of a true ice-cream lover.
As we celebrate her life, a memorial service is planned for Saturday April 7, 2018 at the Lincoln Community Care Center at 1 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Community Care Center in her name.
