After a very difficult spring, local marinas are planning on a big Fourth of July weekend as the water level on Truman Lake has receded to 733.59 which makes it possible for boat launches.
Rick Gladson at Truman State Park Marina reported that Truman Marina is open and ready for a great weekend.
“Last weekend was our busiest weekend so far,” said Gladson.  “We are ready to go.”
Boaters can use the high water ramp at Truman State Park Marina but the parking lot is still under water.  Shuttle service will be provided from 7 to 9 and 7 to 10 on Saturday.
“We are expecting a large crowd all week so please be patient. There is roadside parking only at this time. Allow yourself time for parking as Truman State Park will be busy all week. Truman State Park Marina is open and fully stocked with ice, beer, gas, bait/tackle, lake apparel and more. Truman State Park Campground is open along with the day use area. The holiday week has begun so come on down to Truman State Park, get on the water and have some fun!!  LET THE HOLIDAY BEGIN!” said Gladson.
Osage Bluff Marina is open and ready for business as well.  Visitors at Osage Bluff Marina will be able to walk to their boats thanks to a long walkway.
“We were closed for a month because the water was over the road leading in but we are open now,” said Emily Reynolds, owner.
“Business has been picking up but this has been slow compared to our normal summer,” Reynolds said.  “We are ready for a great weekend.”
Osage Bluff will be lighting up the sky with their annual fireworks display on July 5 at dusk.
At Long Shoal Marina, the Marina side of the business will be open.  They will be selling, gas, ice, soda, snacks and beer.  The shuttle will run as follows;
Monday/ Tuesday 8 AM to 4 PM; Wednesday/ Saturday 8 AM to 8 PM; Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM.  The shuttle does not run in the rain or if there is thunder.
At Sterett Creek Marina, rental boats are back in service:  Suncruisers, Voyagers, Sun Trackers, Sun Catchers, and Lowe Stinger Bass Boats.
The Marina store as well as the Drunken Minnow will be open.
All of the area Marinas are eager to welcome everyone to the lake to celebrate the Fourth!
