Oscar R. McNeil, age 96 of Lincoln, MO was born March 15, 1926 to Fred and Leota (Fultz) McNeil in Kansas City MO. He passed from this life to eternal life at his home on May 3, 2022.
Oscar was a retired member of Teamsters Local 41 in Kansas City, Missouri. He joined the union at age 16 and drove for several truck lines including Brooks, Denver Chicago, and Jack Cooper Transport where he worked for 32 years hauling General Motors products out of the Leeds Plant in Kansas City, MO. After his retirement, he continued to work as a hog farmer, motel manager, carpenter, and general handyman.
On July 3, 1943, Oscar married Gertrude Cooper in Kansas City, MO. To this Union, 2 sons were born, Jr. and Donnie. They later divorced.
Oscar met Maureen Glynn in 1976 at Janesville Auto Transport in Janesville, WI where she worked in security. They married July 28, 1977. To this union a daughter and son were born, Maggie and Jonathan.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Bill, Jackie, and Raymond, a sister, Marie Kessler, his only and quite precious daughter-in-law, Alyce McNeil, an infant Great-Granddaughter, Allyson McNeil and a whole host of family, relatives, and friends, most notably his mother-in-law, Rita Roherty, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Cathie (Glynn) and Mike Channing, and 5 brothers-in-law, Bill, Dennis, Kevin, Sean, and Brian Glynn.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Maureen of the home, 3 sons, Oscar R. McNeil, Jr of Salem, MO, Donald Wayne McNeil of Holden, MO, and Jonathan O. McNeil of Washington DC, a daughter, Maggie M. Young (Adam) of Warsaw, 4 Grandsons, Michael (Lynn), David (Dorothy), Patrick (Angela) and Matthew (Danita) McNeil all of the St. Louis area, 2 Granddaughters, Brooke Young of Maryville, MO and Erica Young of Warsaw, 14 Great-Grandchildren,
Christian Krabbe (Joe), Sindie Warren (Justin), Conner (Brianna), David Jr (Meg), Jacob, Caleb (Hannah), Luke, Adam, Anna, Benjamin, Jack, Maizy, Austin, and Ayden McNeil, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, Elijah and Lillian Krabbe, Ava, Cora, Zaylee, and Jayce Warren, Isaiah, Gwen, and John McNeil, and one on the way, all of the St. Louis area.
Funeral Services will be held by the family at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Mt. Pleasant Church where Oscar was a proud member.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M.
