Patsy (Pat) Darlene Coursey went to be with her LORD and Savior on January 2, 2020 at Four Seasons Living Center in Sedalia, Missouri. Pat was born on October 10, 1930 in Eldorado, Kansas to the late Earl Patterson and Margie Hedrick.
She was raised by a great aunt and uncle in Chester, Oklahoma and was well loved by the older adults in the small farming community.
She married Victor Coursey of Vici, Oklahoma in 1950. He preceded her in death in 2015 after 65 years of marriage.
She was also preceded in death by her sister Imogene Albrant and a brother Ross Patterson.
Pat is survived by her four children; Debby Bentch of Mechanicsburg, Pa, Kim Coursey and his wife Rowena of Steinbach, Manitoba, Lisa Pilant and her husband Carroll of Lincoln, Missouri and Cameron Coursey and his wife Karen of Defiance, Missouri, as well as 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The Courseys moved to Versailles, Missouri from California, where they lived for 16 years, in the summer of 1969. During their years there Pat was a regular volunteer at Good Shepherd Nursing home where she taught Bible studies and led hymn singing with the residents. She served as the Chairman of the Morgan County Red Cross Blood drive for 20 years. Vic and Pat co-owned the Pastry Parlor in Versailles with Kim and Rowena for several years. They also owned and operated Markers Store in Gravois Mills and Landmark Realty.
They moved to Lincoln, Missouri in 2009. She was a member of Poplar Baptist Church. Besides her family, Pat enjoyed sewing, oil painting and reading. She also enjoyed music and sang in several choirs throughout her life.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
