Robert “Bob” W. Dewitt 
Robert W. “Bob” Dewitt, age 53, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his home. He was born on August 11, 1965 in El Paso, Texas the son of Richard and Betty (Fletcher) Dewitt. He grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from Bartlett High School. Bob enlisted and served fourteen years in the United States Marine Corps. He served in Desert Storm, Desert Shield and the Persian Gulf as a Sargent and Helicopter Crew Chief.
On May 23, 1995 he was united in marriage to Darlene Proctor. They made their home in Fallbrook, California for a short time before moving to Warsaw. Bob was employed as a social worker for the Division of Family Services for ten years and later owned an operated Scouting Bargains in Warsaw. He was a member of the Marine Corp League and was the Distribution Chairperson for the Benton County Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, of the home, his parents Rick and Betty Dewitt, of Warsaw, six children; Nathan Smith, of Sedalia, Missouri, Kevin Smith (Jennie), of Warsaw, John Helmer (Nicole), of Anchorage, Alaska, Brandon Campbell, of Sedalia, Jennifer Campbell (Robert), of Orange County, California and Timothy Dewitt, nine grandchildren, two brothers; Jamie Dewitt (Jennifer), of Ionia, Missouri and Anthony Dewitt (Jennifer), of Warsaw, three sisters; Chealsaya Roberts, of Warsaw, Lakrista Dewitt (Michael Bryson), of Warsaw and Raniece Dewitt, of Warsaw.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Fredonia Baptist Church in Warsaw. Military Rites will follow. Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri.
