Seniorfest Helps Seniors Connect

The second annual Seniorfest was held Tuesday, September 25, in the Warsaw Community Building, from 1 to 4 PM. The event offered the opportunity for the general public to explore the services available in the local area offered by various medical organizations as well as other businesses. Flu shots were available, as well as blood pressure checks, blood sugar screenings and prescription reviews.
Visitors at the Seniorfest were also treated to giveaways offered by many of the vendors, and drawings were held for prizes to be given to those who had a form validating that they had visited every booth. Vendors also competed for the best decorated booth.
“The Benton County Seniorfest is an event centered around making services known to the senior community in and around Benton County,” said Bree Smith, Community Outreach & Development, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. “With more people retiring at the lake, often-times they may not know the services available to them. The Seniorfest Planning Committee includes this year’s presenting sponsor Warsaw Health & Rehab, joined by J & D Pharmacy, and Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare. We are all so excited to present a fun-filled free event focused on our seniors.”
