Sharon K. DeJaynes

Sharon K. DeJaynes, age 72, of Lincoln, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp, Missouri.  She was born on August 17, 1948 in Storm Lake, Iowa the daughter of Alfred Edward Smith and Elma Lucille (Allen) Smith.  She grew up in North Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from North Kansas City High School. 
In 1965 she was united in marriage to Archie DeJaynes, they made their home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where she was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Lakewood State School in Lee’s Summit and later as a bookkeeper for a local car dealership before moving to Benton County, Missouri where she co-owned the local Subway franchisee and did the bookkeeping there for more than thirty-two years.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Elma Smith, her husband Archie DeJaynes and one sister Karen Anderson.
She is survived by three sons; Jonathon Lee “Jon Boy” DeJaynes, of Lincoln, Missouri, Eddie DeJaynes, and his wife Shana, of Warsaw and Danny DeJaynes and his wife Lana, of Ennis, Montana, one brother, Ed Smith and his wife Sherry, of Smithville, Missouri, three grandchildren; Jayla, Justin and Samuel, numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services for Sharon DeJaynes will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the White Chapel Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri with Ed Smith, officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Benton County Food Panty c/o the Reser Funeral Home P.O.
