Approximately 400 people visited the Chamber of Commerce sponsored Fishing and Hunting Expo held at the Warsaw Community Building this past weekend.
There were 25 vendors who greeted visitors with information about all the great things about living at the lake.  Vendors of all kinds of lake life products were on hand.
Assistant Director of the Chamber Khristina Brovelli said that the main reason for the event was to show people all that lake businesses had to offer.
Representatives from Sterett Creek, Anglers Port and Truman Lake Marine were on hand to talk to visitors about their businesses.
Crown Custom Design sold t-shirts, hats and lots of Kansas City Chiefs gear.
The Missouri Highway Patrol as well as the Missouri Conservation agents were on hand to talk to visitors about safety issues.
VFW members were on hand to sell raffle tickets for a motorcycle.  The raffle will continue until March 25.  The proceeds from this raffle will go toward the purchase of a drone for the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
Mac Vorce from Maples Ford was at the event to promote Ford test drives.  Anyone who test drives a vehicle at Maples Ford will be entered into a drawing to be held on St. Patrick’s Day.  The prize includes:  dinner for two at the R-Bar and Grill; Maples Ford oil change, tire rotation and alignment; RedWing Coffee; Paul’s Honey; Emmie’s Jellies, Jeremy Blend; Crown Custom Designs Travice; Kelsey t-shirts; Patrick Mahomes earrings; Farm Bureau hat; and Hal Russell Custom Mug.
Brovelli said that the participants also donated non-perishable food items to be donated to local food pantries.
