ON MONDAY, May 9, the Bluebirds varsity golf team traveled to Monett and played at Windmill Ridge for their District 1 Tournament. Cole Camp came home with a first place score of 351, leaving the 2nd place Thomas Jefferson Independent in the dust with their 400. Another big achievement, Tyler Howard received first place overall making him the District Champ! Tyler shot an 82 for the day. Congratulations! Matthew Bright carded an 84, receiving 3rd place. Spencer Godwin fired a 91, taking 5th. Gage Oelrichs tied for 8th place with a 94. Wyatt Hesse shot a 109 for the round. The top 4 Bluebirds advanced to the State Tournament held at Rivercut in Springfield on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17.
