Fristoe News had really good weather over this past weekend.  Hopefully it continues.  Anyone with a desire for gardening is getting that urge in their blood.  My mother always told me that she and her sister O'thell, always made lettuce beds and put onions in the ground on Valentine's Day if weather was permitting.
I visited several friends this past week and I have several I want to put on our list of prayer requests.  Steve Gemes brought me up-to-date on his mom, Easter, and sister Donna.  Easter has been fighting bad health for nearly a year, first one thing and then another, and Donna had the leg removed last summer and she still has problems fighting off any kind of infection.  Donna lives in Rogersville, MO.  and Easter and husband Don are still in Macks
Creek.  But this is still quite a distance for Steve to come visit them.  Please keep Easter Willis, Donna Nelson, Carolyn Colbert, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough in prayer!   I stopped by and visited Carolyn Colbert last week and was blessed to stop by on the day Gladys Mae and Janie were there visiting her.  They both seemed to be in decent health.
Sending a Happy Birthday shoutout to my granddaughter Laney on Thursday, February 16 as she celebrates seventeen years.  Love you and Happy Birthday.  Also celebrating a birthday this week is Patty Jackman Lindsey on Monday, February 20.  I will also say Happy Anniversary to my husband Dean as we celebrate our anniversary  next Sunday, February 19!
Fristoe News sends sympathy and prayers to Judy Mills Noland on the death of her younger brother, Dennis Mills yesterday.  Dennis and Judy were raised here in Benton County and attended R-6 and Warsaw High School.  Dennis has two sons.  His wife, Karen passed away some years ago.  Again, many prayers for Judy!
Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had wonderful church service starting with music.  Claude and The Lighthouse Singers sang "I Will Sing The Wonderous Story" and Ken Heir did a great tribute to his wife Gail for Valentines Day.  Br. Smith's message was from the book of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4, beginning at verse 13 talks about The Rapture and how it will take place and the pastor taught how we, as believers should be prepared and ready!
Thought for the week:  Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going to McDonald's makes you a hamburger!
Hope everyone reading this has a wonderful week!
