High Scoring Helps Lincoln Advance In District Play

The Lincoln Cardinals beat Osceola 9-2 on Saturday in district baseball play at Windsor.
It was knotted up at 2-2 after three until Lincoln scored five in the fourth to put the game away. Levi Campbell tripled on an 0-1 count driving in two for the big blow in the inning.
Caden Smallwood went 2-4, driving in four runs and stole three bases leading the team total of seven swipes on the night.
Cam Everheart went 1-4 with two ribs and two walks.
Caleb Mundy got the win after five innings of work on the hill giving up four runs and recorded six strikeouts. Everheart and Campbell each threw an inning of work.

Earlier in the week, on Thursday, Lincoln traveled to LaMonte and scored early and often in the four inning 17-2  massacre. They plated three in the first, five in the second, four in the third and five in fourth.
They would spread the wealth around in the batter's box as several players took part in the scoring.
Levi Campbell went 3-3, scoring four runs and drew a walk.
Caden Smallwood went 1-3 scoring three times.
Camden Everhart went 1-1, scoring three runs, driving in two and drew two walks.
Cole Smith had two RBI's and three walks.
Xavier Smith drove in three runs with three walks.
Omar Torres went 1-3 with four RBI's and a walk.
Caleb Mundy was 1-3, scored three and had a walk.
Smallwood started and got the win after just one inning. Mundy and Everheart finished up.
