Pledges And Pies Highlight Profitable Night For Conerstone

With over 150 in attendance, Cornerstone Academy of the Ozarks held its first pledge dinner since the COVID-19 pandemic last Thursday night and the result was a successful night for not only the school, but guests, as well.
The dinner was held at the Community Building in Warsaw and had over 20 sponsors within the to support the event.
Guests enjoyed a fish fry along with a buffet of side dishes, with the exception of desserts.
Delicious desserts were the majority of the live auction following the meal, so anyone desiring a sweet treat raised their paddle, most sharing with others at their table. Desserts included many season pies, cakes, cookies and fried pies.  Also included in the auction were St. Louis Blues tickets, a guided rabbit hunt hosted by Buckley Hollow Beagles, a Fender acoustic guitar and much more!
The evening was filled with conversation and laughter among many from within the Cornerstone school, but many other community members also.
"I was a little bit nervous as to what the turnout would be like since this was the first year we had the pledge dinner since Covid," said Dr. Rebecka Spencer, superintendent of the school.  "But people really turned out and showed up in support of CAO.  I am grateful for each one."
Bringing the community together to support kids is what it is all about. When communities get behind the children where they live no matter the kind of schooling; public, private or home school, when kids are supported, it is a win for everyone and we are investing in our future.
Students shared a bit of what they have been learning at CAO including playing and singing music, patriotism, reciting the Preamble, public speaking and hosting a formal event.
In partnership with the home and local church, the mission of Cornerstone Academy of the Ozarks is to equip and encourage students to be lifelong learners, who embrace a biblical worldview, and live a lifestyle of love and service modeled after Jesus Christ.
