WHS Class Of 2022 Hauls In Nearly $1.4 Million In Scholarship Money

Eighty-five seniors from the Warsaw High School Class of 2022 were awarded their diplomas on May 19 on Randy Morrow Field on the WHS campus.  Alyssa Alcantara presented the Valedictorian address while Emma Johnson presented the Salutatorian address.
Honors Diplomas were presented to Alyssa Alcantara and Emma Johnson. 
Those graduating with honors included:  Summa Cum Laude – Alyssa Alcantara, Emma Johnson and Grant Chapman.
Magna Cum Laude – Taylor Howe, Sarah Johnson, Nora McMillin, Natalie Johnson and Brayden Elmer.
Cum Laude – Isabella Morrison, Tyler Parker, Karlie Jones, Amelia Botteron, Brady Slavens, Benjamin Kowal, Luke Martinez, Jaidyn Estes, Jaycob Harvath, Jana Prokhor.
Seniors were also awarded approximately $1.4 million in scholarships to continue their education.  Those receiving scholarships included:
Alyssa Alcantara was awarded a Presidential Scholars Award-$44,000; Dutile Scholars Award-$2,000; Northwest Missouri State University Presidential Scholarship-$32,000; Scholars Day Attendance (GPA 3.5 or above and ACT of 27 or above to attend)-$500; Co-Mo Electric Essay Scholarship-$3,000; Warsaw School Alumni Scholarship-$2,500; Henry Kugler Jr. Award-$500; A+ Scholarship-$17,000; Academic Excellence Scholarship-$350.
Rose Baker was awarded Mango Job Corps-100% Tuition Assistance.
Sydnee Boley was awarded a Vocation Grant-$2,000; A+ Scholarship-$17,000; Harper Education Scholarship- $500; Luerena Matheweson See Scholarship- $2,470.
Amelia Botteron was awarded A+ Scholarship-$17,000.
Curtis Breshears was awarded A+ Scholarship-$17,000; A+-$800.
Grant Chapman was awarded A+ Scholarship-$17,000; Academic Excellence Scholarship-$350.
Bryan Coffey was awarded Nation Guard Tuition Assistance-$100,000; GI Bill-$18,000; A+ Scholarship-$17,000.
Gaven Cunningham was awarded OMOS-$5,000; A+ Scholarship-$17,000.
Brayden Elmer was awarded Chapter 35 VA Benefit-$80,000; A+ Scholarship-$17,000; Academic Excellence Scholarship-$350.
Jaidyn Estes was awarded the Warsaw Jubilee Days Queen Scholarship-$800.
Jolina Givens was awarded A+ Scholarship-$17,000.
Christopher Harrell was awarded a WARM House Scholarship-$1,000; Warsaw Leathernecks Marine Corps League Detachment #1254 Scholarship-$1,000; Benton County 4-H Fair Scholarship-$400; Red & Black Scholarship-$4,000.
Jaycob Harvath was awarded Gene Haas Scholarship Award-$1,500.
Taylor Howe was awarded University of Evansville Athletic Scholarship-$170,144; WHS Athletic Booster Club Scholarship-$500; MSTA Scholarship-$500; Live Like Bailey-$1,500; Warsaw High School Athletic Booster Club-$500; Benton County Community Foundation-$500; A+ Scholarship-$17,000; Academic Excellence Scholarship-$350.
Nicole Jeffrey was awarded Missouri Access Grant-$2,280; A+ Scholarship-$17,000; American Dream Grant-100% Tuition Covered.
