In early session of the Warsaw City Board, Monday eve, Auditor Jon Cummings, with KPM CPA’s advisors reported the City received a “clean or unmodified 2021 audit; the best possible result.” He continued that several City fund balances were up, with a total overall gain of over $1 million. He had a few reservations about sewer fund reserves, given probable future cash demands; and commented that a lack of segregation of duties within City departments could offer opportunity for misappropriation of funds. However, he added that problem is typical in small cities.
