We have certainly had a taste of spring in the past few days. It is coming to an end, but hopefully we won’t be getting any more of the frigid temperatures of January.
Some citizens have expressed concerns about speed limits in and around Cole Camp. As a part of the SS4A (Safe Streets for All) grant, MoDOT and the company that is writing up our plan or action are monitoring several areas around Cole Camp for safety issues like street crossings, sidewalks, and speed limits. Their report is scheduled to be ready by early summer. There is a need for a stakeholder’s committee to give them input for the plan and the Board of Aldermen is seeking volunteers for this committee. It is not a time-consuming commitment. As I understand there will be only one meeting that will occur within the next 2-3 weeks. If anyone is interested in participating I this endeavor, please call City Hall or one of your elected officials by Monday, February 10.
