A Message From The Mayor

The City Hall window replacement project is nearly completed. Now our public works employees are repainting the exterior trim. This will greatly enhance the appearance of the building. The flag pole has received a new coat of paint as well. Our City Hall is now an asset to the city’s curb appeal as people drive through Cole Camp.

The Board of Aldermen has started work on the budget for FY 2025. The first step is to amend the FY 2024 budget and that is in process. A series of special meetings will be held to finalize the budget to be presented at the December 19th regularly scheduled Board meeting. Tentative dates for these public meetings will be November 23, November 30, December 7th, and December 14th. These dates have not been approved by the Board of Aldermen, but will be finalized at the regular Board meeting on November 21. The Department Heads are instrumental in setting the budget and are included in these meetings when their department is involved. I remind you that if you have specific input you should talk with your Alderman prior to the meetings because public comments will not be taken at these special budget workshops. Our goal is to have an understandable, usable budget for FY 2025.

We will begin posting new ordinances and resolutions on the Facebook page and on the City of Cole Camp web page soon. This will make it easier for everyone to stay up to date with what is new in the city. The ordinances can also be found in the E-code and there is a link to that on the City of Cole Camp web page.
