On Wednesday afternoon at 2:49 PM, a Towanda, Kansas man was driving west on Highway H, a rural Lincoln road. As the 62 year-old male approached a steep incline just east of Cate Lane, he failed to negotiate a left hand corner and ran off the right side of the roadway. The 2006 Dodge Magnum struck a utility pole and fence before overturning and coming to rest in a field.
The driver, name withheld, sustained serious injuries and was transported by MU helicopter to the University Hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of impact. The vehicle was totaled and removed by Twin Lakes towing, The accident was investigated by Trooper Paulsen.
