In their 20 year history, Cole Camp had never won less than 3 games in a season.
Last Friday night, the unthinkable happened as Adrian defeated the Bluebirds, 48-6 and the nightmare winless season continued. The Pigskin had Cole Camp at 3-6 going in. Some thought they might be a .500 team.
Inexperience, youth and lack of numbers and size were factors in their struggles this season.
It was 21-0 after one and 41-0 after two quarters. The Blackhawks scored in the third and Cole Camp scored their only tally in the fourth.
Grant Rodriguez went 11 for 31 rushing yards and was 0 for 6 passing. He threw an INT and fumbled in the endzone for an Adrian recovery and touchdown.
Teagan Sharpe scored from the 1 yard line in the fourth. He was 5 for 37 rushing.
Jason Clancy had seven tackles to lead the defense.
Redemption is there for the taking as 0-9 Cole Camp travels to 3-6 Russellville this Friday in district play.
