Barbara A. Roasch

Barbara A. Roasch, 88, of Warsaw and Windsor, Missouri, passed away on May 13, 2026 at the EW Thompson Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia, Missouri.

Barbara was born on May 25, 1937, in North Carolina. She married Frederick R. Roasch on July 1, 1961, in Nebraska. Together they shared a life of travel and adventure, including time living in North Carolina, Jacksonville, Florida, Panama, and ultimately settled down in Warsaw, Missouri.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick O. Roasch (2003); her son, John Dean Roasch (1981); and her son Frederick Carl “Corky” Roasch (2019).

She is survived by her longtime committed friend, and partner of 12 years Gerald Carl. They enjoyed winters together in South Padre relaxing on the patio watching the hummingbirds. Jerry’s family lovingly welcomed Barbara into their lives and provided her the joy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren she had always longed to have; a few nieces and nephews; and her son, Fritz Roasch and his wife, Ciggie, of Warsaw, Missouri.

Barbara worked for many years with Olan Mills Photography Studios, where she traveled to various stores across the Midwest, including JCPenney locations, capturing portraits and special memories for families.

Barbara will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her deep and endless gratitude, and her ability to find humor in everyday life. She met life’s challenges with grace, warmth, and a positive outlook that touched those around her.

Graveside Services for Barbara A. Roasch will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2026 at the Shawnee Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association c/o the Reser Funeral Home 101 W. Main Street Warsaw, Missouri 65355
