Benton County Presiding Commissioner Steve Daleske call the Benton County Commission meeting to order at 10:30 AM on December 12 in the Board Room. In attendance were District 1 Commissioner Larry Berry, District 2 Commissioner Scott Harms and Daleske.
Members of the Benton County Extension Council met with the Commissioners to discuss their 2025 budget requests for the Extension office. Those present included Leslie Dickerson, Caitlin Dill, Rob Exendine, Allison Gunter and Amie Breshears.
Mike Keith Insurance, Inc. representative Christian DeLozier met with the Commissioners to present the 2025 property and liability insurance proposal, noting an increase in premium of 17% from 2024. A schedule of property and premium breakdown was included for each type of coverage. District 1 Commissioner Berry made the motion to renew the annual property and liability insurance coverage with Mike Keith Insurance, Inc., at an annual cost of $362.812 which includes the premium for terrorism insurance. The motion passed.
Preparation of the 2025 budget continued.
