Betty Hollcroft

Betty Jane Hollcroft, age 79, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Sunday, June 19th at her home.  She was born on December 13, 1942 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
Betty graduated from Warsaw High School where she met the “love of her life” Jimmie Hollcroft and on February 14, 1959, in Miami, OK, Betty and Jimmie were united in marriage.  They made their home in Kansas City, MO where unto this union one son and one daughter were born.
In 1964 the family moved to Warsaw where Betty worked as a secretary for Bishop Gunstocks for eight years.  In 1992, Betty was named BPW Woman of the year. Her final employment was serving as the administrator of the Benton County Senior Center.
Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw and a member of the Wesley Sunday School class.  She had taught youth Sunday school and was the craft leader for many years for Vacation Bible School.
Following her retirement, Betty became an avid photographer and began Betty’s Beauties which were displayed in several local businesses, donating some of her work to the City of Warsaw and her church. Betty loved nature and all it’s beauty and loved sitting on her porch swing to enjoy it all.  She like to play cards, travel and spending time with family and friends. A highlight of her life was celebrating 60 years of marriage to her love, Jim, whom preceded her in death on January 18, 2020.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie McLemore and husband, Shawn, of Houston, TX, two grandchildren, Stephanie Trevino and husband, Tim, of Austin, TX, Brian Andrews and wife, Lisa, of Houston, TX, four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jude, Victoria Trevino and Lucy Andrews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO, with visitation beginning at 9:30. Graveside services and interment will in the Riverside Cemetery, Warsaw, MO.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
