Betty L. Howard, age 79, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was born on December 12, 1945 in Cross Timbers, Missouri the daughter of Claude Vester Owsley and Chloris (Phegley) Owsley.
On May 9, 1964 she was united in marriage to George W. Howard in Keytesville, Missouri. They made their home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri where Betty was employed for Western Electric as an assembly worker. Following their retirement, Betty and George moved permanently to Cross Timbers, Missouri. Later they moved from their farm to Warsaw.
Betty worked as a beautician both in Kansas City and in her home in Cross Timbers and Warsaw.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Howard, a sister, Yvonne Elliott and another sister, Beverly Sue Owsley that passed at the age of two years old.
Betty is survived by her son, Brad Howard (Joy), of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, two grandchildren; Joshua Howard (Allie) of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Brooke McCormick (Ryan), of Independence, Missouri, three great grandchildren; Joelle Howard, Rory McCormick and Blair McCormick, a brother, JC Owsley (Kay), of Cross Timbers, Missouri, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri.
