Beverly A. Ghan, age 75, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Lincoln Community Care Center.
She was born on January 16, 1950, the daughter of Edward Earl Dority and Edna Marie (Kiser) Dority. Beverly grew up in Climax Springs and graduated early as the Valedictorian of her high school class in 1967. She continued her education at Central Missouri College in Warrensburg, where she earned her associate degree.
On September 25, 1971, Beverly was united in marriage to Jimmy D. Ghan. Together they made their home in Colorado, later living in Kentucky for several years and briefly in Springfield, Missouri, before returning to Warsaw.
From 1987 until 2013, Jim and Beverly owned and operated Ozark Fire Protection. Beverly was a talented businesswoman who worked side by side with her husband, helping to grow and guide the company through many successful years.
Beverly was a member of the Benton County Business and Professional Women’s Group and Poplar Baptist Church. She found joy in sewing, gardening, baking, decorating her home, and planting flowers. A devoted mother, she was very involved in her children’s activities while they were growing up and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy T. Ghan; a sister-in-law, Sue Dority; and a brother-in-law, Jack White.
Beverly is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Jim Ghan, of the home; a daughter, Regina Ghan, of Warsaw; three sisters, Shirley Whisnant (Bob), Earlene White, and Barbara Dority, all of Warsaw; a brother, Ed Dority (Colleen Layden), of Edwards, Missouri; two grandchildren, Mya and Braeden Ghan; five nieces, Cynthia Dority, Jackie Downing, Jennifer White-Hall, Jonna Daleske, and Melinda Dickerson; and two nephews, Todd Downing and Jack White, Jr.
