A huge thanks to the awesome members that came out to the lodge on Wednesday, August 9 to help with unpacking and stuffing the 500 backpacks we distributed at the Smart Start event on August 10. An added thanks to Steve Peek-member, Pattie Harrison-Esquire, Dennis Schoen-PER, Doug Alden -West Central District Director and John Way-Tiler that attended the event to greet the students and parents. The backpacks were purchased with funds from the Beacon Grant made possible through the Elks National Foundation Community Investment Program and a fundraiser at the lodge.

Stop by and play Shuffleboard on Tuesday at 1:00 PM and Darts at 6:00 PM on Wednesday.
Why cook? Mark your calendar for “Dining at the Lodge”. A Mexican Buffet will be on August 28 from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Tenderloins will be served Wednesdays, August 23 from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. August’s International Night will be Italian food. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 25 from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
The committees in charge of the hospitality room at the state convention are working like little bees. They are striving to have the BEST hospitality room at the state convention in Jefferson City, September 29 – October 1.
