Carol Porter Street, age 74, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the Adair Village Retirement Center. Born on November 14, 1950, in Roswell, New Mexico, she was the beloved daughter of Amy Lee Brooks and Charles Edward Porter.
Carol dedicated her life to education, earning her bachelor’s degree from Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas, followed by a higher degree from Pittsburg State Teachers College in Pittsburgh, Kansas. She made a significant impact in her teaching career, particularly enjoying her work with special-needs children in various school districts throughout Missouri.
Carol will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and commitment to nurturing and educating the lives of the children she cared so deeply for.
In her personal life, Carol married Audie Lee Street of Clinton, Missouri, on June 25th, 2020. They shared a passion for antiques, operating the “Treasure Chest,” a charming antique store on the Clinton Square.
Her surviving husband, Audie, continues to reside at the Adair Living Center, Clinton Missouri.
Carol was a dedicated wife and a loving sister, leaving behind three brothers: Bob, Rick, and “little brother” Tommy. She was proceeded in death by her brother Charles Edward Jr. and her sister, Alice.
To celebrate Carol’s life friends and family are encouraged to attend her memorial service which will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 2 PM at the Eagles Club in Clinton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
