Carrie Lou Turner, age 83, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1942, in Benton County, Missouri, to Ruben and Elma Breshears.
Carrie graduated from Warsaw High School in 1960.
She spent more than 30 years working at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, where she served in several roles focused on patient care. Her dedication to helping others was evident throughout her career.
Carrie was a faithful member of High Street Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her love for the Lord.
She cherished studying His Word and sharing her faith with others. She also deeply loved her family and especially treasured the time she spent visiting and staying connected with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Turner; her parents, Ruben and Elma Breshears; her brothers, James Breshears and John Breshears; her sister, Emma Roberts; and her son Ruben Wiggins.
Carrie is survived by her sisters, Carol Harris of Osceola, Missouri; Mary Gemes of Warsaw, Missouri; and Rose Baxter of Holt, Missouri.
She is also survived by her children, Mark Wiggins and wife Olivia Wiggins of Ozark, Missouri, Brian Wiggins and wife Amy Wiggins of Springfield, Missouri.
Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Carmen Curry and husband Dustin of San Diego, California; Zach Wiggins and wife Lacee Wiggins of Bolivar, Missouri; Jacob Wiggins and wife Adelyn Wiggins or Ozark, Missouri; and Taylor Davidson of Springfield, Missouri.
She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Devin Curry, Oaklee Warner, and Wade Wiggins along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Carrie lived a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw. Interment will follow the funeral at the Spring Branch Cemetery in Avery, Missouri.
