Cheryl Ann Goodman, age 71, of Urbana, M0, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Friday evening, June 19, 2026, at her home. Cheryl was born on August 20, 1954, in Clayton, MO, the daughter of Art and Magdalen Matt Doerr.

She lived next to Grants Farm in St. Louis, graduating high school in 1972. Cheryl continued her education, taking secretarial classes to prepare her for the workforce. She was employed as a secretary, first for Spindler Carpet Company and later for American Family Insurance in Sullivan, MO. It was in Sullivan on October 8, 1983, she was united in marriage to Larry Goodman at the Sullivan Baptist Church. They made their home in Sullivan and later moved to Warsaw in 2016. Three weeks ago, they moved to their current home in Urbana.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Don Doerr and Jim Doerr.

Surviving is her devoted husband, Larry, of the home, two sons, Jason Craig Goodman of St. Louis, MO and Corey L. Goodman of Sullivan, MO, a daughter, Jennifer Goodman Hill of Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX, three granddaughters, a sister, Lenore Miles of Crestwood, MO and a brother, Mick Doerr of Florida, other relatives and friends who will miss her presence, friendship and love.

The family is forever grateful to Phoenix Hospice and the nursing staff at the Bourland Cancer Center in Clinton for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Cheryl and her family.

No services are scheduled. Cremation was under the direction and care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
