The Cole Camp School Board held their regular monthly session on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. in the Library. Election results were approved and the old Board dissolved and the newly (re-elected) members Pam Eckhoff and Zach Lutjen were sworn in. Jordan Kyle was elected Board president. Rick Grunden was elected VP and Leila Metzner was re-elected Board secretary. Jordan accepted the role as Foundation representative.
No one was present for Citizen’s comments. In regular business, The Board revised the published agenda to include the FCCLA overnight trip this summer. The
Board approved the consent agenda which consisted of the previous Month’s meeting minutes, payment of bills, sub list and the March financials.
Under Informational items, the Board heard updates on progress toward meeting the District’s CSIP goals, and the return to emphasis on the procedures associated with requests to conduct a fundraiser. In a first reading, the Board saw the proposed language for the updates to paid time off employee policies. This policy was informational only this month but will be up for approval in May. The revised language included input from Central Office staff, the administrative team, and CTA Leadership team.
Under Action items, The Board approved the annual contract, with Ed Counsel for policy service, the Benton County Health Department social work contract for 2025-26, the online payment option as provided by Central Bank, the salary schedules for extra duties, support staff, and teachers. They approved employment of the support staff and extra duty staff members. The Board approved the overnight trip requests for district golf, FFA summer camp and FCCLA national conference.
The bid from Home Heating and Cooling was approved for the old multi remodel. The administrators and CTA presented their reports and calendar items were reviewed. The Board sponsored Teacher Appreciation Breakfast will be on Thursday, May1. Serving times will be announced.
Following the Executive session Megan Garbuzov was employed as the lead teacher assistant for the full day preschool for 2025-26. Teagan Harrison was employed as a part time process coordinator for 2025-26. Ryan Metscher was employed as the district’s bus mechanic, starting July 1, 2025. Jennifer Bloss was approved for hire for 2025-26. The May Board meeting is set for May 27, 2025.
