Daisy Maxine Evans, 91, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
She was born March 18, 1933 in Clinton, Mo. She married Bobbie E. Evans on August 6, 1956 in Clinton, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2014.
Maxine was a member of the Clinton Methodist Church, the Golden Valley Square Dance club and was a den-mother for Troop 436, Boy Scouts of America. She enjoyed camping, boating and loved to fish. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. She was quite artistic, from her paintings, quilting, knitting, crochets, embroideries and various scrap booking projects. She and Bobbie were avid card players, specifically Hand and Foot. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Surviving are two sons, Rick E. Evans (Julie), Nixa, Mo., and Timothy E. Evans (Sherri), Bentonville, Arkansas; two grandsons, Chris Evans (Ashley), Fair Grove, Mo., and Chad Evans (Brittney), Nixa, Mo.; one granddaughter, Maleigha Evans, Bentonville, Ar.; three great-grandchildren, Andie, Campbell and Connor; one half-sister, Thelma Brunell, Mulvane, Kansas; two half-brothers, Ken Parker, Twin Falls, Idaho and Melvin Parker, state of Arizona; one brother-in-law, David Evans (Marsha), Clinton, Mo.; three sisters-in-law, Judy Evans, Warsaw, Mo., Mary Evans, Clinton, Mo., and Donna McQueen, Clinton, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Chantry Evans; three half-brothers, David McQueen, Donald McQueen and Lee McQueen; and one half-sister, Shirley McQueen.
The family would like to send special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice, and all friends and family who helped care for Maxine.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Pastor Monty Stratton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. just prior to the funeral service. Maxine will lie in state Thursday from noon to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Vansant Road Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
