Dale W. Long, age 84, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1940 in Richland, Missouri, the son of Oda and Alice (Rowden) Long. He grew up on a farm in Richland and graduated from Stoutland High School in 1958.

On May 22, 1959 he was united in marriage to his wife Barbara Long. They made their home in Kansas City, raising two children. Dale was employed as a truck driver for RL Sweet Lumber for several years and was a car hauler, transporting Ford vehicles, for many years. On February 14, 1988 he was married to his wife Betty Jo Long. They made their home in Blue Springs, and in 1997, moved permanently to Warsaw.

Dale loved to fish and to play and sing old country music on his guitar. He could spend every weekend hunting down a bargain at a garage sale or just sit out front of his camper and talk to neighbors at the campground. He enjoyed woodworking and could fix just about anything or build a house from the ground up. However, his most important time spent was with family. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his family. He always said he has the best loving family. There was nothing he loved more than having all his kids and grandkids around him.
