Debra May Smith, age 70, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.
She was born on December 27, 1954, the daughter of George and Phyllis Young. Debra graduated from Warsaw High School with the Class of 1972. She was united in marriage to Clifton Smith on December 19, 1971, and together they were blessed with a house full of daughters.
Debra deeply loved her family and cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos, and Christmas was her favorite time of year. She especially loved the lights and the joy of the season.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Young, and her stepfather, Lester Smith.
Debra is survived by the love of her life, Clifton Smith of the home; her mother, Phyllis Smith of Lincoln, Missouri; her daughters: Audra (Charles) Roark of Warsaw, Missouri, Melissa Phillips (Todd Rider) of Clinton, Missouri, Christa (Joyce) Smith of Columbia, Missouri; her grandchildren: Bailee Jacobucci of Gering, Nebraska, Jade Phillips and Wyatt Phillips of Climax Springs, Missouri, Tyler (Hannah) Yach of Warsaw, Missouri, Ashlee (Jon) of Deepwater, Missouri, and Rikki (Joshua) Costner of Hope, Arkansas; thirteen great-grandchildren; her brothers, Junior (Teresa) Young of Warsaw, Missouri, Monte (Vicki) Young of Lincoln, Missouri and Sam (Shelly) Young of Lincoln, Missouri; her sisters, Kenya (Rodney) McLerran of Osceola, Missouri, Lori (Mike) DeShazo of Columbia, Missouri, Patty (Danny) Coffee of Lincoln, Missouri, Kelly (Clint) Gaylord of Sweet Springs, Missouri, Cathy (Rob) Engles of Lincoln, Missouri, and Amber (Chad) Yearout of Lincoln, Missouri, and many friends.
Funeral services for Debra will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri, at 3:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Black Oak Cemetery near Lincoln, Missouri.
