Dorothy Louise Platt, age 81, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on April 3, 2026, in North Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on February 25, 1945, in Eureka, Kansas, to Roscoe and Grace (Harper) Scott.
Dorothy was united in marriage to John Eldon Platt on December 16, 1960. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Platt; her daughters, Kathy Harvey of Warsaw and Sherry Mills of Newton, Kansas; her four grandchildren, Clay Powell, James Mills, Amanda Mills, and Jonathan Harvey; and her two great-grandchildren, Austin Mills and Remi Swepston.
She is also survived by her brother, Larry Scott and his wife, Jackie Scott, of San Antonio, Texas.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Grace Scott, and her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Linda Scott.
Dorothy’s memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to experience her humor, kindness, generous spirit, and loving heart.
God has truly called a beautiful angel home.
