Eunice Beeman, 96, of rural Windsor, Missouri, died Monday afternoon, November 18, 2024, at the Lincoln Community Care Center, Lincoln, Mo.
She was born January 20, 1928, in rural Pettis County, Mo., near Brandon, the daughter of Elmer Samuel Christian and Pearl Alice (Smith) Christian. On October 18, 1947, she married Donald Combs “DC” Beeman in Sullivan, Mo., and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2015.
Eunice graduated from Lincoln High School and then attended Sedalia Business College. She worked at the former Ford farm equipment dealer in Sedalia for several years. Operating a grain and livestock farm with her husband, Eunice enjoyed helping on the farm. In addition to chores, she was a good cook and prepared many meals over the years for her family and the farm family. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and the Brandon Good Will Club.
Eunice was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a son, David Beeman and his wife Jo Ellen, Windsor, Mo.; 2 grandchildren, Cassandra “Sandi” Beeman, Windsor, Mo., and Andrew Beeman and his wife Brittany, Ionia, Mo.; 3 great-grandsons, Logan, Lance, and Lochlan Beeman; a sister, Gladys Riecke, Columbus, Ohio; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marjorie Christian and Pauline Gehlken.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Pastor Gordon Hibbard officiating. Burial was in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
