Florence Pauline Dieckmann, 82, of Cole Camp, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at her home. On January 5, 1943, in Cole Camp, Missouri, a beautiful little brown eyed girl was born to Tony and Pauline (Vaughn) Hessefort.

She was baptized on January 8, 1943, and confirmed in 1957 at the United Lutheran Church in Cole Camp by Pastor Rolfing. Florence was a smart little girl who loved Sunday school. She had four brothers to grow up with and play with. She attended Cole Camp school and then Warsaw High School after moving with her family to Warsaw in the 1950s.

On September 11, 1960, she was united in marriage to Jack Lee Dieckmann at United Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, whom she had known all her seventeen years. This union was blessed with five boys: Michael, Paul, James, Todd, and Timothy. They lived in Independence until 1976, when they moved the family to Cole Camp and Jack commuted 99 miles to and from work in Raytown each week until his retirement in 1999. Florence would warm up supper for Jack every night.

Florence was an active Christian who loved her Lord and as a servant of her Lord, she ministered to troubled young people who had served prison time. She became a friend to many of them. Much of this ministry took place in Florida during which Jack was with her some of the time.

At Cole Camp, she enjoyed people, flowers, and loved her family and home. She was a member of Antioch Fellowship in Sedalia, owned an antique shop in Cole Camp, Der Antiquetatenladen, and was a distributor for Avon. As her health failed, she spent more time at home but never gave up shopping.

Florence was a wonderful and faithful wife and mother and is now holding her little son, James Matthew, in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Dieckmann of the home; sons, Michael Dieckmann of Sedalia, Paul Dieckmann and Lori of Cole Camp, Todd Dieckmann and Debra of Warsaw, and Timothy Dieckmann and Jennifer of Tennessee; brothers, Milton Hessefort, Dale Hessefort, and Joe Hessefort, nine grandchildren, Jerome, Jordan, Alexus, Savannah, Emma, Justus, Titus, Janae, and Lyric; and eleven great-grandchildren, William, Gabriel, Tiberias, Maximus, Arcelli, Arameus, Brooklyn, Merick, Harper, Reagan, and Mara.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Pauline Hessefort, son, James Matthew Dieckmann, and brother, Arnold Hessefort.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with funeral services to be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Graff officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery near Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Michael Dieckmann, Paul Dieckmann, Todd Dieckmann, Timothy Dieckmann, Dan Drianias, Kevran Geromini, and Mike Davis, Stan Dieckmann.
