Frances E. Hammack, age 99, of Winchester, KS passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the F.W. Huston Nursing Center in Winchester, KS. She was born April 10, 1925 in Clinton, MO, the daughter of William and Naomi (Briggs) Snow. She graduated in 1942 from Coal High School in Coal, MO.
Frances worked from 1950 – 1972 at the Commerce Bank in Kansas City, MO in the Security Department. Frances also lived in Clinton, MO for many years and was a member of the Tebo Baptist Church.
Frances married James Hearn in May of 1943. They later divorced.
In April of 1965, Frances was united in marriage to Orville Hammack. They shared over 27 years of marriage before Orville passed away in June of 1992 in Kansas City, MO.
She was preceded death by her son, James Edward Hearn.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Lela F. Lewis of Winchester, KS; 2 granddaughters, Laura Adcock of Valley Falls, KS and Elizabeth Madlener (Rick) of Lincoln, NE; 4 great grandchildren, Terry, Samantha, Casandra and William; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
