The weather was beautiful for Mother's Day on Sunday. In fact, the weather has been really nice for several days during this week. The Lord is blessing gardners with nice weather and keeping moisture falling.
Our prayers for this week are for Kathy First, Steve Gemes, Gladys Harris, Dorothy Thomas, Bud Hatch and all where prayers are needed.
Happy birthday shoutout to Richard Vaughn and Lincoln McGuire this week!
Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church held a wonderful Ladies Luncheon on Saturday, May 10 in the church hall. There were 34 ladies who came and took part of the salad bar and dessert meal, games fellowship and worship of friendship. It was a wonderful afternoon.
As mentioned last week, my granddaughter Ryleigh Reno graduated from Kearney High School and has not made a total commitment to what her next move will be. Local schools, Skyline, Climax Springs, Lincoln and Cole Camp, along with Warsaw are having graduation exercises last and the coming week.
Anyone passing the Fristoe church along Highway 65 can tell the work is really picking up and getting done. The foundation is finished and the beginning of the floor is being laid. God has blessed the people of that church in a wonderful way. This is definitely God's plan to add the room onto this church. Sunday was a wonderful day at the Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church and a Mother's Day. Visitors and regulars filled the pews. Marie Lowrey and Bridget Arnett took a lovely potted plant and all other ladies received nice gifts also. As usual, Connie and Dave, along with Elizabeth's help led song service. Dobee and Ken did a great duet and Dave a special. The Sunday School lesson was still studying Jesus teaching in Parables. Pastor Tony's message was found in the book of Mark. Remember what he teaches.
Thought for this week: The first step to wisdom is being quiet; the second step is listening!
A wise man will hear and increase his learning. -Proverbs 1:5
