The Fristoe area has been blessed this past week with wonderful showers of blessings in the way of rain. This is making the gardens people have planted; whether it is food or flowers the moisture is making things grow. However, farmers are needing a break from the rain in order to make hay. In other words, farmers are needing to mow, rake and bale fields of grass and other types of food fixed for the cattle for the winter. So everyone say a prayer for a dry spell.

Prayers for this week: Kathy First, Dorothy Thomas, Bud and Patti Hatch and Claude and Delores Prater. An answer to prayer, we've had Gladys Harris on prayer request for a good while and now Gladys is able to come to church every Sunday morning. God is good!

Happy birthday shout-out this week to my granddaughter, Ryleigh Reno on June 11.

The Fristoe News sends congratulations to the Warsaw Ladycats on their state championship softball team. Good job ladies!

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church has four walls and a roof up on the new sanctuary they are building onto the church. The people that are doing the building have been working every day and ladies of the church have been providing them with good lunches every noon. The people who attend Fristoe Lighthouse Church are very proud of the work that is being done and welcome people to stop by and visit.

NOTICE: Fristoe Lighthouse is holding Brush Arbor Revival Services starting Saturday, June 14 thru Wednesday, June 18 at 7:00 PM with Sunday services at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM The Fristoe church has ladies prayer meeting every Monday morning at 9:00 AM and Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM.

Thought for the week: The most valuable gift you can give your kids and grandkids is a good example!

I have given you an example, you should do as I have done with you. -John 13:15
