The weather in the Fristoe area this last week has been HOT!  Then Saturday afternoon things turned much cooler and some moisture fell.  Hopefully the weather stays this way for awhile!
REMINDER! Antwiler Park Board September meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00 PM in the Fristoe Community Building.  This is the yearly election of board members.  There are (2) three year seats open and (1) seat where term will have to be finished.  If you are interested in being on the board, be sure to attend this meeting.  This date is being held because of Labor Day.
Also REMINDER:  The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church announces REVIVAL SERVICES (BRUSH ARBOR STYLE)  on Thursday, September 21 thru Sunday, September 24 beginning at 6:00 PM each evening!
Prayer requests: Bob Jackman, Kathy First, Delores Prater,  Russ Weeks, Lewis and Judy Retherford, Carolee Apperson, Gladys Harris, Easter Willis, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough.
The Missouri Highway Department has put up signs to help make the highway along, before, thru and past the Fristoe village alerting drivers to be cautious for horse and buggy travelers.  The Fristoe area is gaining more and more of the Amish families and they do use the horse and buggy as their way of transportation.  I was really glad to see the signs being erected.
Dean and I went to the Cross Timbers singing that takes place on 2nd and 4th Saturday nights. The numbers are adding back up as the weather becomes cooler and we are glad of that.  This musicale has been taking place for many years and there are several people who have been a part of it and therefore we hope the it continues to be a part of the community.  One person who has been a part of this music is Dean and I's good friend, Bill Hockman.
Dean was close to Bill's dad and has enjoyed doing music (especially gospel) with Bill and his dad.  Bill is always really good to make sure I know something important if I need to get it in this column.  We had a good visit with Bill and several others  on Saturday night.  Are you behaving Bill?
Area schools are back in class and many are involved in sports.  We have friends and family in several area schools and want good health and safety for all the youngsters in Warsaw, Skyline, Climax Springs, Lincoln,  Macks Creek and all other schools in the area!
Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church was blessed Sunday morning with a presentation from local girl Grace Yoder who is leaving in a couple weeks for a year in missions.  She shared where she was going and much of what she would be taking part in for the next year; very knowledgeable and very enjoyable piece of work. The whole church really appreciated her presentation!
Sunday School finished the unit on Solomon and Br. Smith brought his message from Acts:  Chapter 27  in the study of Paul!
Thought for the week:   Jesus is a friend who knows all your faults but He still loves you anyway!
Hoping everyone who reads the Enterprise has an enjoyable, fun and knowledgeable week!
