Fristoe News

Temperature cooled down over the weekend and people are really working on gardens and flowers in yards.

Many young students from the Fristoe area went to the Warsaw Prom 2024 Saturday night, including my granddaughters Laney and Madalyn Arnett, daughters of Adam and Bridget Arnett. It's very hard for me to reconcile the idea that my granddaughters are this age. Laney 18 years old, Ryleigh soon to be 17 years old and Madalyn is 16 years old. God has blessed Dean and I abundantly!

We get words from Gracie Yoder every week about the mission they are doing and how it is in Guatemala where they are at right now. Just want to remind everyone to continue to pray for Gracie and the mission team she is with. Pray for their guidance and that they will be blessed and all safe and well.

Our prayer list this week is much the same; Kathy First, Amber First, Carolee Apperson, Cherie Boecher, Gladys Harris, Curtis Allen and Mary Scarbrough!

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church sends a big, loud Happy Birthday shout-out to Layne Bumstead as he celebrates his birthday on April 25.

The Fristoe Lighthouse Church will welcome the Peter and Pam VanDerDecker family to church on Sunday morning, April 28. The church has been supporting the VanDerDecker's missions for over 20 years. The VanDerDecker's have been missionaries to Papaya New Guinea these years and come to visit the churches that support their mission work about every 5 or 6 years. The church is serving a lunch after services on Sunday and they invite anyone that would like to stop by and hear what the missionaries have to say are welcome and asked to even stay and have lunch!

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church had several out this morning for one reason or another but still had a great congregation and service. Adult Sunday School class began Unit 11 entitled Studying The Holy Spirit. Scriptures were found in several books of scriptures but the majority were from John chapter 14 and John 16, making us very aware that we must follow the leading of The Holy Spirit. Claude, Delores and The Lighthouse Singers did a beautiful special song as did Br. Dave. The church always has beautiful singing. Br. Smith's message was found in Revelation chapter 14. Br. Smith brought a message concerning the one hundred and forty four thousand, who they were and how it will all be played out.

Thought for the week: Jesus is a friend who knows all your faults and He still loves you anyway!

Hope everyone who reads this news has a wonderful week! Lots of good things coming your way and no sadness or badness!
