The Fristoe area was blessed the past week with moisture. Most of the area received from one and one half inch of rain to two inches. Everyone was really glad to have it.

I went to visit my dear friend Patty Jackman Lindsey this past week and had a nice long talk. Patty lives in the Harbor apartments on the Dam Access Road and it is really nice. Patty is having lots of health problems so everyone please keep Patty in prayer, along with Mary Scarborough, Kathy First, Lewis Retherford, Bud Hatch, Gladys Harris, Carolee Apperson and with this list we are asking for prayer for their friends!

Sending out Happy Birthday shout-outs for Teresa Jackman on November 7; Dean Arnett celebrates his birthday on Wednesday, November 13. Also Happy Birthday to Patti Hatch on November 6 and also her granddaughter Dalis Clark on November 6. You all have a great day!

By the time this paper is delivered, the election will be over. Do not know if who has won will have been determined but the voting should have been done.

Most of the fall sports in the schools are completed or nearly complete and basketball will be having games soon. I will remind all that Warsaw Wildcats football team is still winning and have a game scheduled Friday night, I believe at home.

The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church: Sunday, November 3 was down a little bit in numbers because several people are out sick. But there was some great conversation and study in the adult Sunday School class this morning. The study this morning was from the book of Ruth but not studying of Ruth but studying her mother-in-law, Naomi. It was a great study and the class learned how we can go from sadness and being bitter by things that happen to happiness and joy, which is what happened with Naomi! Claude and Delores sang a beautiful special and of course the Cunningham's lead song service and did a great job. Pastor Smith's message was from the book of Matthew and Hebrews and was just a sermon on salvation and alerting each one that if we did not know Jesus we are leading a life playing "roulette" with a loaded pistol.

Thought for the week: No burden is too heavy for God's "everlasting arms"!

We sure hope that everyone who reads The Fristoe News has a safe, happy and blessed week!
